Time for Top Team World Final 2026
23 APRIL 2026
Scania ramps up for the world final of the 2026 edition of Top Team in Södertälje, Sweden – the world-wide competition for service technicians that celebrates workshop excellence and customer care. Twelve finalist teams are eager to reach the Super Final on 8 May, and win the big prize of 50,000 EUR.
For the 2025–2026 Scania Top Team, around 8,000 service technicians and parts experts from more than 70 countries have come together to demonstrate their competence.
“Top Team is not only an unforgettable and enriching experience for the participating teams, but we gain so much more as a company: the highly skilled personnel. We see a strong link between the competence of the technicians and customer trust,” says Victoria Österman, Top Team Project Manager, Corporate Communications.
“This competition also challenges everyone involved, the crew. It takes a lot of effort to create fair and high-quality conditions for all teams. At times, we’ve faced what seemed like impossible challenges, but we always find a way forward,” says Åsa Dellham, Project Manager at Scania Technical Training, Scania Academy.

The big final
Once again, it will be a nerve-wrecking Top Team Super Final in Södertälje, and online. This round we have the pleasure to welcome teams from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, and Germany, the reigning champions returning to defend their title.
“What stands out throughout the competition is the trust within each team. How they support one another, stay focused, and maintain a positive mindset under pressure,” says Österman.
Earlier experience of Top Team is of course an advantage since the structure of the competition is similar to earlier events. But all the teams that has made it to Södertälje are extremely skilled. In the end, it comes down to how they handle their nerves under time pressure.
On Thursday 7 May, the teams will rotate through six technical stations, each designed to test their skills in realistic scenarios. “It takes a lot of work to make them both demanding and engaging, while still reflecting everyday workshop challenges,” says Dellham.
“Friday’s Super Final is a different experience. It’s more visual, more intense, and designed to be followed live and give the audience a closer look at how the teams work under pressure. Of course it’s based on real-life scenarios. We want it to be exciting, but also relevant. The difference is the time pressure which is significantly more intense than anything they would normally experience in their day-to-day work,” she adds.
Only the best
“We know these are the absolute best teams. They have proven their competence through both theoretical and practical challenges at every stage” says Dellham.
The Top Team competition begins at every team’s workshop, with theoretical challenges. The best teams advance to the national final, where both theoretical and practical exercises are executed. National winners meet at the regional finals. From here, only 12 teams make it to the world final.
The world final
The competition in Södertälje begins on Thursday 7 May with six teams competing in the morning and the other six in the afternoon. The four best teams will meet again on Friday 8 May in the Super Final.
“We hope that many will take the chance to watch the livestream on Facebook and YouTube,” says Österman.
