Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Solution Sales is responsible for leading and managing the sales teams across New Truck, Used Truck, Services, and Parts. This role ensures the achievement of sales targets, drives business growth, and delivers integrated solutions to customers. The position requires a strategic leader with a strong commercial acumen, excellent people management skills, and a deep understanding of the transport solutions market.

Customer First
- Foster a customer-first culture, ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet customer needs across all product and service lines,
- Collaborate with marketing, aftersales, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and maximise cross-selling opportunities,
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Driving the business
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives and market opportunities,
- Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement,
- Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior management,
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sales teams to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee engagement,
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all sales activities.

- Lead, motivate and develop the sales teams for New Truck, Used Truck, Services, and Parts to achieve and exceed sales targets
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- A strong ability to lead and inspire teams across a designated region, with a minimum of 5 years proven leadership experience within the HGV industry
- Technical knowledge and understanding advantageous
- Experience of managing financial budgets, with a strong financial and commercial acumen
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, within the automotive, transport, or related industry
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth across multiple product lines
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence at all levels of the organisation
- Commercially astute with a customer-focused mindset
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification is desirable,
- Confident with disciplinary and grievance processes, and conflict resolution
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Ability to work within a team and within guidelines and to deadlines
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety and environmental requirements
- Excellent organisation and analytical skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work under pressure and have a solution-driven approach
- Current driving licence.
