”AI is not just a tool, it’s a teammate”

On a mission to speed up software development, Addi Djikic has spent seven years working in the AI domain within Scania and TRATON. From Developer to Tech Lead and Product Owner within autonomous transport solutions – and for the past two years, as a Fullstack AI Engineer in TRATON’s AI Enablement team.

“My team and I explore and build AI agents and agentic workflows to solve real user and developer needs, making production-ready software faster than ever,” Addi explains. “Our task is to understand and demonstrate how AI can accelerate development and improve the daily lives of our developers.”

DevEx Agent – on a mission to improve developer experience

One AI agent Addi’s team has built and launched throughout the TRATON Group is the Developer Experience Interview Agent – a smart tool designed to evaluate and help gather high-quality input on how teams can improve developer experience, fully anonymously.

“Since I also work as Scrum Master in the team, I use it monthly to check in on the team’s wellbeing or to deep-dive into feedback around specific areas, helping us improve our internal developer experience,” Addi explains.

Customer first

At the heart of Addi’s team is the question: What does the organisation need that AI can help with? “We look from our customers’ perspective. And the field is evolving so fast that our whole team has to be both deeply technical and open to change. We work without silos – no one has a ‘narrow role’ here.”

What drives Addi is the possibility of being part of something transformative. “The tools for acceleration are here. Now the challenge is: how do we use them intelligently? That takes both technical insight and creativity.”
